About

I’ve been interested in the Occult for some time now, and just recently found Geof Gray-Cobb’s wonderful Miracles of New Avatar Power (NAP).

I’ve been experimenting with that, and with The Mystic Grimoire of Mighty Spells and Rituals (a useful text by Frater Malak aka Geof Gray-Cobb)

I’m a staunch believer in function over form, and I’ll use every bullet in the gun, so to speak, to get what I need.

I cast my magical nets wide, utilizing techniques from different systems (my work with the angels in NAP contrasts heavily with my older Witchcraft rituals, and I’d like to mess around with Folk Magic in the vein of Voodoo)

Most of the time, I hold a ceremonial approach to magic, I love the feel of a properly done ritual (except the collapsing bit after my first hardcore NAP ritual) and I’m a firm believer in the importance of treating the act of magic with respect (not that you can’t have fun with it, just that a ritual should be properly prepared for and treated as an act of importance.)

I’ve gotten exceptional results with many of my spells, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds.

  1. I too have been experiementing with the NAP, and gotten some interesting results. I have been working with the system to impliement some NLP triggers and things are looking real promising 🙂 Surprising cause well, the NAP is a bit campy, and I would really love to know where some of the spirits are derived from ( although some are CLEARLY derivations of ceremonial entities, and some proceedures are clearly simplified Golden Dawn).

  2. I don’t know if you’ve ever visited EvocationMagic.com, but they have a thriving forum for that era of book (dubbed “The Modern Grimoires” by the forum-goers there), I’ve gotten a lot of great tips and learned a lot about the history of NAP there.

By the way, I have and love Hands-On Chaos Magic!

Thanks for stopping by and posting,
